Din Din Aviv - Biography

Born in Israel in 1974 to a family of musicians, Din Din is singing and performing from early childhood.

Din Din has studied dance and ballet with the "Israeli Ballet" school dance teacher Dorit Gasner, and African dance master Aysha Diale.

After she graduated from "Aliance" High School, Din Din served in the Israeli army as the solo singer for the Air Force Entertainment Group. Her musical education includes Indian singing and Tobla drums playing in India, African Drumming with Uri Nave, Congas with master Avi Tzarfati, piano lessons and two years of drum and voice studies at Rimon School of Music.

A part of her activity as a performing and recording artist Din Din is teaching "Rhythm in Dance", including workshops in "Drums and Dance" at Seminar Hakibutzim.

Her musical work is highly acclaimed. Some of the awards she recieved include:
"Breakthrough Artist of The Year" with Gaya - the song "Shir Lahava" sang by Din Din became a second anthem for many in Israel.
"Song of the year" for the song "Im Telech" of the Idan Raichel Project in the IDF Radio and Radio G. ACUM has called it the No. 1 airplay of the year 2003.

2006 saw the release of Din Din's solo debut with "Sodotay" (My Secrets), wich quickly went gold and produced 3 huge hit singles in "Mukeret Li Mipa'am", "Sodotay" and "Mashma'uyot".

Following the album and the subsequent tour's success, Din Din and the album's producer Moshe Da'abul recieved ACUM's "Golden Feather" awards for Best Production and Best New Album for a Female Artist.
