Izabo - Biography

Izabo's music has been described as a "Brilliant, action packed combination of Psychedelic Rock, Disco, Punk and Arabic spices", or, if we are to name-drop, like an unlikely cross between Led Zeppelin, the Talking Heads, and Om Koltom. Featuring high-to-ultra-high vocals, twisting and expressive Arab-flavoured guitar work, powerfully funky basslines, arrogantly catchy keyboards and intense disco beats, Izabo have established themselves as one of Israel's most absorbing live acts.
Their debut, "the Fun Makers", released in Israel in 2003 and was hugely successful for a non-hebrew record.
Israeli release followed by a UK release by BMG UK, Neatherelands Rough Trade and lately ROY Music/ Discograph france where the band is experiencing great success.
Izabo's fans such as legedary producer Mike Hedges and English charts topping producer Yoad Nevo created mixes for Izabo's Morning Hero hit single.

2007 was (and still is) a real turning point for the band: touring extensively and successfully all over Europe, an unforgettable performance in Taratata - the biggest musical TV show in France, and a north-American tour ahead in schedule.

And with Izabo's second album - "Superlight" - due  for released later this year, Izabo's musical adventure continues to grow and expand.
